For close to two hundred years, this family of Desadiers led by Collum, grandson of Clarence Desadier who passed family leadership down to Collum, stood watch over Butte Hill, their ancestral burial grounds. As early as 5 years old, Chief Collum remembers sitting at his grandparents’ feet while they taught him the history of his Native American ancestors. Collum was taught the importance of family and the responsibility that would one day be passed down to him. Today, Chief Collum understands the wisdom of the elders. He leads his family with honor & dignity passed down by the elders that walked before him.
